Designing a Tea Shop with a Touch of Oriental Elegance

The Chinese Space and Tea Space design takes a unique approach by emphasizing simplicity and harmony. The use of natural materials, such as logs, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the space. The combination of Chinese black marble and wood grain archaize brick on the floor adds a touch of elegance. The large white walls, adorned with plain cement, further enhance the natural simplicity of the space.

Spanning 250 square meters, the space is divided into two floors. The first floor serves as the product display and sales area, while the second floor houses the tea room and salon training area. This dynamic differentiation allows for a seamless transition between the purchasing and experiencing aspects of the tea shop.

Upon entering the space, guests are greeted with a large glass window that offers a glimpse into the interior. This element of mystery entices visitors to explore further and discover the hidden treasures within. The design aims to create a sense of curiosity and intrigue, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the world of tea.

Unlike traditional Chinese tea houses, the Chinese Space and Tea Space design adopts a black and white color scheme, giving it a contemporary and fashionable feel. The public area is predominantly white, with traditional ink and wash elements incorporated to maintain a sense of tradition. The integration of the prevailing garden style in the south adds a touch of tranquility and serenity to the space.

Gao Xiong's design has been recognized for its creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that exemplify resourcefulness, technical skill, and contribute to improving the quality of life.
